HeliNY’s Safety Management goes beyond conventional standards by prioritizing audits and risk assessments to consistently demonstrate our dedication to the highest levels of safety. Our commitment to your well-being begins long before you set foot on a HeliNY helicopter.

Our safety culture is derived from a Safety Management System which consists of an organization-wide, comprehensive, and preventive approach. Our practice includes formal methods for identifying hazards and mitigating risk which provides assurance of HeliNY’s overall safety performance.

We have been flying safely since 2005 and we are proud recipient of numerous safety awards by Helicopter Association International and National Business Aviation Association.

Security

HeliNY, verifies passenger names, booking details & weights. A valid government issued ID must be presented for all passengers. For charter flights, baggage weight & dimensions are confirmed to ensure that they are within safety specifications.

Our ground crew is trained to ensure all passengers meet flight requirements. For the safety of all our passengers and crew, we reserve the right to prohibit passengers from flying who are unruly, intoxicated, disruptive, or otherwise unfit to fly.

HeliNY is committed to promoting a culture of safety for employees by conducting regular training of ground crew in connection with ground operations and all procedures at heliports and airports when loading and unloading aircraft.

Maintenance

HeliNY’s Maintenance Team’s priority is safety, and we take extreme measures to make sure our procedures are following our safety culture.

Our team consists of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technicians. Our technicians are also trained at the Bell Helicopter Training Academy for specific specialty training.

All facets of maintenance and repair for your helicopter are done following strict and regular schedules recommended by manufacturer and approved by the FAA.

HeliNY has earned and maintained the highest FAA standards with annual audits.

Safety is paramount! We fly Bell407 helicopters that include the state-of-the-art TCAS system (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) maintained by our in-house team of factory-certified technicians! On site, we ensure you receive a safety briefing and are always escorted to your aircraft by our trained ground crew.

Experienced Pilots

HeliNY conducts regular recurring training to ensure our pilots are ready to take you on a journey you will never forget. Our pilots come to HeliNY with at least 1,000 flight hours, and their training ensures they know the Bell407 aircraft inside and out, not to mention some facts about NYC they can share with you on your tour.
